Impulse Control: An Emotional Epidemic

This weekend will address the issue of impulse control in contemporary life.

A survey of the neurological polarities of sensory/motor and executive functions in the nervous system will ground the exploration of the lack of impulse control as a central theme in many contemporary social questions.

The esoteric theme of the three beasts -fear, doubt and hatred- from Rudolf Steiner will move the work forward to an understanding of the role of the guardian of the threshold and its role in self development.

Alchemical meditative techniques from the esoteric tradition will then be presented as aids in stilling the mind. The final turn towards healing will address diet and the use of essential oils as healing adjuncts to the meditative process.
