REGISTRATION HAS BEEN CLOSED.
Coros Institute will host a meditation retreat led by Dennis Klocek, director of Consciousness Studies at Rudolf Steiner College, on the theme of the Mystery Gate. This retreat will focus on the three prime tasks of an esoteric student symbolized by the two pillars of death and surrender and the ancient image of the oroboros, the snake biting its tail. Yakim, the pillar of death is the training of the thinking. Boaz the pillar of surrender is the reversal of the will. The oroboros is the need of the student to accept the shadow elements in the psyche.
Using a combination of exercises taken from his new book, the Seer’s Handbook, This meditative journey will lead us from self-awareness to social awareness and culminate in the role of karma in modern social relationships. There also will be an opportunity to build and walk a labyrinth.
The Walker Creek Ranch on 1700 acres of rolling hills is one hour north of San Francisco. The Ranch is rich in history as well as beauty and serenity. The retreat will begin with Friday evening dinner and end with Lunch on Sunday. (Check-in Friday after 2 pm and checkout Sunday 3 pm.)
